All their dishes and ingredients will whizz you back into ancient history when merchant travellers traded goods across the world.
MezzoRoma has three different eateries in Willesden: A café in the High Road, a deli and a lounge, both in Walm Lane.
We visited the lounge which also features a cocktail bar and is favourite with families in the area.
MezzoRoma has introduced a new menu which features less dishes than its previous one which is a great thing as too much choice can often confuse diners.
The new improved choices offer a taste of Mediterranean flavours combined with recipes from Greece, Turkey, Sicily, Rome, Arabia, Africa, India and Western Asia.
My son who is a vegan was delighted by the choices available to him.
Often he is confronted with mushroom based dishes but MezzoRoma had so much more to offer him.
He enjoyed the range of vegetable crudités which were served with hummus and pitta bread which is baked by MezzoRoma itself.
My smoked salmon served with salad was equally devoured.
I was also tempted to try the tuna carpaccio and was very glad I did.
Four our mains I opted for the sirloin steak which was served with chips and a delicious mushroom sauce.
I have no complaints over my steak as it was cooked to perfection and the chips and sauce were equally good.
Me son was equally pleased with his risotto, a dish that as we all know too well needs a lot of TLC to perfect.
Four our dessert my son was treated to a platter bursting with fruits from every continent while I opted for a very generous serving of tiramisu.
Both were equally received.
After trying the new menu I thoroughly believe MezzoRoma has made the right choice and I am sure other diners will agree.
A lovely family-run restaurant with an incredible and tasty selection of meze dishes, pizza, pasta, salads, seafood, poultry and meat dishes.
Not forgetting many choices for vegans.
