Birra Artigianale

Marzen (Red - 5.2 ° al. Vol.)

This delicious Artisan beer obtained at low fermentation, has an intense amber colour with tawny reflections, the foam is compact and persistent. Given the peculiarities of the style, otherwise interpreted masterfully, the malt is felt decisively in all stages of the tasting. An alternation of flavours fruit in spirit, toasted cereal, berries and an inspired hops note that produce an exquisite and long lasting caramel aftertaste. It is recommended to drink it at a temperature of about 6/8 degrees in the glass to close, in combination with cooked or smoked red meat and sausages both cooked and fresh, in particular, to the red sausage of Castelpoto.

Their Story

…between the end of 1999 and the early dawn of 2000, two young brothers, Gianni and Mario Di Lunardo, British by birth, decided to try their hand at an entrepreneurial idea, almost for fun. Thus they choose the profession of brewers, but not the usual industrial beer, but an unpasteurized, filtered one. They overcome a very tough apprenticeship and start a production and marketing of “BEER ARTISAN”. Flanked by modern production and packaging technology, optimal for the manufacture and stabilization of beer, and following the ancient traditions of master brewers of proven experience, they create the first craft beer of the Sannio, their land: the SAINT JOHN’S BIER, however their young company. Heraclitus used to say, more than 2000 years ago, that you never get wet twice in the same water as a river. Every moment of ours is never the same and we are never the same from moment to moment, from one time to another. And it is precisely because of this ancient philosophical concept that we refer ourselves to Saint John’s. We decided to change and renew the image of our company and to do so we decided to create a new product, the result of experience, continuous research and hard work.
